Trish Cant,
I just loved this book。 It was easy to read, had very believable characters and it was a situation that could very well happen。 As always with Imogen Clark’s books, I was sad to finish it。
Dianna,
delightful readI just loved the dynamics of the story all the way through! The differences of maternal instinct and children’s realization played out amazingly fitting。 I don’t want to spoil this read for anyone!
Ella McGuire,
Huge Jacqueline Wilson vibes! 💕
Denise Shaver,
Chose this book because I remember the famous baby swap news story from the 80’s。 This was a fine read, if not particularly memorable。
Sarah Moore,
Another winner from ImogenThe story of Michelle, who gives birth to a daughter,Donna, in the summer of 76, in the bed next to Sylvie。 Michelle brings her new baby home to with her husband and three older children but then starts to question whether Donna is her baby。 She doesn’t look like husband Dean - and she’s sure she did when she was born。Could her baby have been swapped with Sylvie’s?What follows is the story of Michelle’s feelings about her baby; she has no way of finding Sylvie and she d Another winner from ImogenThe story of Michelle, who gives birth to a daughter,Donna, in the summer of 76, in the bed next to Sylvie。 Michelle brings her new baby home to with her husband and three older children but then starts to question whether Donna is her baby。 She doesn’t look like husband Dean - and she’s sure she did when she was born。Could her baby have been swapped with Sylvie’s?What follows is the story of Michelle’s feelings about her baby; she has no way of finding Sylvie and she doesn’t know what she would do if she did find her… but then she sees Sylvie in the street and realises she needs to find out what happened that day。I was completely engrossed in this story but, like Imogen’s other books, this isn’t a charge into swapping back the babies, suing the hospital, muddling up their lives; it’s a thoughtful and considered exploration of what it means to parent a child。 It’s gentle and thought-provoking but deals with some huge issues of family。If I have a criticism, it’s that I would have liked just a tiny bit more to the epilogue but I think that’s because I wasn’t quite ready to let Michelle go。Set aside a few hours to read this - you won’t want to put it down。 。。。more
Christine Rennie,
In A Single Moment by Imogen Clark is an interesting read and a terrific listen too as well, which I thoroughly enjoyed。 It is about two mothers, Michelle and Sylvie who give birth to baby daughters in hospital on the same day。 That night the two babies are taken to the nursery for their mothers to sleep but when Michelle is back at home she thinks the babies have been swapped。 As the years go by the two girls grow and develop and have their own personalities and behaviour。 Donna is the youngest In A Single Moment by Imogen Clark is an interesting read and a terrific listen too as well, which I thoroughly enjoyed。 It is about two mothers, Michelle and Sylvie who give birth to baby daughters in hospital on the same day。 That night the two babies are taken to the nursery for their mothers to sleep but when Michelle is back at home she thinks the babies have been swapped。 As the years go by the two girls grow and develop and have their own personalities and behaviour。 Donna is the youngest in her family and achieves all her GCSE’s and goes on to study for her A’levels with a view of going on to university, the first one in her family to ever go to university。 leonora however is totally different and moves schools because of her behaviour and fails her GCSE’s and then leaves home to live in a squat。 One Christmas the whole situation comes to a head and both families meet in the New Year to try to resolve the issue of stopped babies once and for all。A family drama a with a difference。Highly recommended 。。。more
Maria Quintas,
I liked the book as a whole, the characters were well defined and engaging。 And the story was very interesting。 I did, however, found the pace slow and a bit repetitive so that’s why I go with 4 stars。
Marsha Lambert,
FictionI really enjoyed reading this one。 Great story。 Easy to follow。 Two families affected for life by one mistake are left wondering。
Shelby Bowling,
Who knew a book from a kindle ad would be a 5 star read? Absolutely loved everything about this book。 I wasn’t sure how the author was going to end it, but I’m happy with the direction this book went。
Jayne,

Theo Cox,
One of My Favorite AuthorsI liked the characters。 This however was not one of my favorites by the author。 I found the pacing slow, with not as much feeling, until the end, as I’ve experienced in other of her books which I’ve enjoyed。
